Baroque Art Gilders Paste

This professional grade gilding paste lets you create brilliant gilded finishes and colored effects for added beauty and contrast on wood turnings, carvings and other woodwork. It is wax-based and highly concentrated for a long-lasting, deep, rich look that is easy to create. Unlike other gilding pastes we have tried, real metallic pigments are used in these gilding pastes so you create an authentic gilded finish.
Apply the gilding paste on or off the lathe using a brush, sponge or cloth. It can also be thinned with paint thinner for use as a stain, wash or spray. Dry to the touch in about 60 minutes, you can apply a top coat such as lacquer, varnish, shellac, or urethane finish. A little goes a long way... just 1.5 oz will cover up to 30 square feet of surface area.

  • 1 oz.
Manufacturers Note:
Gilders Paste may become hard and dry in the tin due to solvent evaporation. Not to worry, Gilders Paste can be rejuvenated and thinned by adding a few drops of paint thinner and mixing until you reach the desired viscosity. This unique ability to be rejuvenated again and again allows for an endless shelf life.
